The bar chart compares the quantity of tea and coffee bought by four different countries measured in tons in 2007 alone. Overall, the UK and USA imported considerably more tea than coffee, with the former leading the pack. Canada and Germany bought a larger amount of coffee than tea, with the latter showing a less pronounced difference.
Looking first at the major tea importers, the UK topped the chart with 160,000 tons of this drink, distantly trailed behind by the USA, whose figures stood at 120,000. The North American country, however, bought a noticeably higher quantity of coffee compared to its European counterpart, with respective figures of 40,000 and 20,000 tons.
Turning to the primary customers of coffee, Canada surpassed all, buying 80,000 tons of the product. Not too far behind was Germany, which imported 50,000 tons of this beverage. The same pattern in the importation of coffee in the USA and UK was mirrored in that of tea between Germany and Canada, with the European country doubling the amount this time.
