The graph and table illustrate the amount of the global water used by three main categories and the quantity of water consumption in Brazil as well as Congo in 2000.
Overall, is is clear that agriculture used global water the most among three groups whereas the opposite was true in domestic use. It is notable that the water consumption per person and population in Brazil was higher than in democratic republic of Congo while the irrigated land in Congo was higher than in Brazil.
As can be seen from the graph, in 1900, agriculture had the most outstanding consuming the water worldwide, at about 500 km3 whereas the figures for the domestic use and the industrial use was just nearly 0.5 km3. In 2000, the consumption of agriculture still increased to 3000 km3, which was nearly twice as much as in the industrial use.
Turning to the table, in 2000, Brazil achieved a higher rate of population than the figure for Congo, at 176 million and 5.2 million respectively. As a result, the highest water consumption per person of 359 m3 still belonged to the former, while the figure for latter was just 8m3. However, the irrigated land in Congo was higher than the others, at 26.500 km2 and 100 km2 respectively
