At first glance, there were significantly more foreign students in all of the countries in 2012 that it have been in 2004.
For instance, 9% of all people studying in the UK in 2004 were foreigners. This number has increased to 13% in 2012 reaching almost 200 000. Australia has got even more international attention. Population of overseas students have grown from 19% in 2004 to 24% in 2012, establishing Australia as the most culturally diverse higher education environment.
Meanwhile Canada faced a slightly more subtle growth in foreign education seekers; with 5% in 2004 it has reached 7% in 2012. Lastly, USA kept the 2% foreign student concentration throughout the years. However, according to the data, the total number has increased from circa 175 000 to almost 250 000
