Overall, while Perth dominated in annual water consumption and Canberra had a smallest proportion last year, agriculture had a largest proportion and mining had a lowest point in water consumption distribution in 2014.
In detail, approximately 300 kilolitres water had used by Perth city which is the highest figure compared to other cities. The second largest percentage belonged to Brisbane city making up roughly 250 kiloliters. Following this tendency, Adelaide was just under 250 kiloliter in water consumption and Sydney citizens used 200 kiloliter water last year. Melbourne and Canberra water usage had not much higher levels making up 150 kilolitres and around 145 kilolitres, respectively.
Turning to Australian water consumption distribution in 2014, agriculture had the highest amount among these seven industries accounted for 67%. Households users were 9% in 2014. Water supply, sewage, drainage and electricity, gas supply usage shared same figure making up 7%. Similarly, manufacturing and other industries’ water consumption shared the same proportion with 4%. Mining industry was the lowest proportion at 2% in 2014.
