The bar chart shows information about population of Yemen and Italy in 2000 and predictions for 2050 by age groups. Overall, proportion of children (0-14) in both countries is estimated to go down, while percentage of elderly people projected to increase.
It is clear to notice that, in 2000 more than half of the Yemen population was involved children (50.1%). Meanwhile, middle (15-59) and elderly (60+) age groups consisted of 46.3% and 3.6% respectively. However, according to projections, proportions will change dramatically. Percentage of little age group will decrease for 13% and at the same time, portion of middle age group will experience tremendous increase (46.3% to 57.3%). Furthermore, there will be slight rise in seniors’ group – from 3.6% to 5.7% – in 2050.
In 2000, large percentage of community in Italy was included middle age people (61.6%). Second major group was seniors (24.3%), followed by juniors (14.3%). But, based on forecasts, ratio of people by age groups going to change. The percentage of adults will enormously fall, as proportion of retirees will see significant growth. Likely to Yemen, juniors’ part in population of Italy will show small drop (14.3% to 11.5%).
