The bar chart illustrates the proportion of citizens who live in Britain, donating money to charity based on age groups from 1990 to 2010.
Overall, it is clear that more donations were made in 1990 compared to 2010. Furthermore, there was a clear upward trend between groups excepted the last two.
In 1990, roughly 17 percent was the rate of teenagers who gave money to charity. Following by, both young adult and elderly brackets have a similar figure of residents handing out financial support, at approximately 32 percent. Remarkably,the middle aged range was the top contributor with about 42 percent. Additionally, the figure for the forth age group was estimated to be 35 percent.
After two decades, the rates of donators in five groups were going in an upward line then dropped at the last one. The figures for the first three groups were approximately 7 percent, 24 percent and 35 percent respectively. Surprisingly, the 51-65 range was the one that contributed the most with almost 40 percent. Lastly, the rate of old citizens that donated to the charity was about 35 percent.
