The bar graph illustrates data on the proportion of British people of 5 different age groups donating money to charity in the year 1990 and 2010.
Looking from an overall perspective, what stands out from the bar is that in the year of 1990 charity received money from a greater percentage of people than in 2010. Across the 2 years, the percentage of people who were under the age of 50 was lower than that of those above 50.
Initially, although the number of people between 36 and 50 was the highest with about 40% in 1900, it was equal to percentage of people who are older than 65 in 2010. Moreover, the figures for the age range 26-35 and 18-25 plummeted in 2010, by approximately 5.7 and 9% respectively.
On the other hand, even though the number of people aged 51-65 and over 65 both increase in 2010, those in the 51-65 age-group contributed more money in total, exceeding the older age-group by nearly 5% in 1990 and about 6% in 2010
