Firstly,let us talk about the number of tourists and how it changed from 1995 to 2005.In 1995,Australia had around 700000 tourists from the UK and around 500000 from the US.The number was at least double for the tourists from Japan,with a whooping 150000 tourists in Australia at that year.However in 2005,the number of tourists from the UK and USA both spiked up to around 150000 while the ones from Japan decreased to around 110000.
Next up,let us discuss the types of stay from 1995 to 2005.In 1995,backpacking was an unpopular choice having less than 50000 people who chose it,while staying in hotel was the choice of over 150000 people.The gap got even larger in year 2000.Despite backpacking increasing to over 5000 people,staying in hotels also skyrocketed to 250000 people.However,the gap eventually closed as staying in hotels became a less popular pick,while backpacking became gained popularity.At year 2005,they reached the same number of slightly above 100000 people.
Hence,we can conclude that back in 1995,Japan tourists were common in Australia than UK and USA ones,but the tides turned in 2005.Also that staying in hotels used to be the more popular pick back in 1995,but as time went by until year 2005,it eventually became less popular,equally as popular as backpacking.
