Overall, Scotland’s exports to the rest of the world were mainly higher, except few industries.
Delving into details, 2.4 billion pounds worth of agriculture, forestry, fishing and mining products exported to rest of the world, whereas 0.6 billion shipped to the UK. In terms of Manufacturing of food and drinks, the UK accounted for 4.4 billion and other countries 5.8 billion. Nearly 10 billion pounds worth of chemicals and mineral products distributed to other nations, and the UK make up the approximately half of it. Both the UK and rest of the world demonstrated similar figures in metals, mechanical and transport equipment, with below 3 billion. Regarding to electrical and instrument engineering, the UK received 4 billion worth of goods, and other nations were approximately half of it.
When it comes to other products, the UK tend to demonstrate lower figures. Other manufacturing, wholesale and retail, and business services including finance, hotels and restaurants exported to the UK were below 2 billion, whereas exports to the rest of the world were relatively higher. Lastly, other remaining services, were at 0.9 billion in the UK and rest of the world received three times more.
