The bar chart compares the proportion of using various kinds of electronic devices, namely smartphone,tablet,laptop and e-reader among four age groups in Australia in 2010.
Overall,it can be clearly seen from the chart that all age groups used smartphone the most,expect the early group,while the opposite was true with e-reader.The large number of e-book users were people over 76 years old,whereas this devices was used very little in the other 3 age groups.
Just under two-third(65%) of people who were between 12 and 24 years old used smartphone,as opposed to 30% of those in this group who used tablet.At the 25-50 age group,the proportion of samrtphone and tablet users were almost the same,42% and 40%, respectively.The percentage of smartphone users in the 51-75 age group and the over 76 age group both higher than the figure for tablet.
If we look at other devices,the proportion of laptop users was four times as high as e-reader group,in which e-reader was used least in the 12-24 years old age group,with 4% compared to 1%.Similarly,the percentage of laptop users in both the 25-50 age group and the 51-75 age group were higher than the figure of e-reader.By constrast,at the over 76 age group,the percentage of e-reader users was more than that of laptop,with 62% compared to 28%
