The bar graph illustrates the data of students who are enrolled in five distinct university courses- biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics and computer science from 2018 to 2022. Overall, the number of enrollments in each subjects increased throughout the period except for Physics. Despite, commencing from the last position in 2018, the number of enrollments in Biology becomes became second highest in 2022.
In detail. The number of students who were enrolled in physics courses were around 37,000 in 2018,which declined steadily to just over 10,000 in 2022. Conversely, the figures of biology rose year by year from approximately 16,000 in 2018 to a whopping 31,000 enrollments in 2022.
The number of admissions in mathematics and computer science followed a similar trend throughout the period of five years, that is both peaked in 2019 with around 37,000 and 35,000 students respectively, before a dramatic decrease in the next two years. Chemistry, on the other hand, had just below 25,000 enrollments in 2018, the number then reduced by about 8000 in the following year before resurging back to 20,000 in 2020 and then reached its highest point in 2021 with around 33,000 and plateaued at same level in next year as well.
