The given bar chart illustrates the numbers of both genders attending four different evening courses that were held at an adult education center in 2009, and the pie chart provides information about the participants’ ages. Overall, it can be seen that women participants showed the highest rate in three courses, and the people who are 50 or over took the biggest portion of chart.
Looking at the data in detail, language courses attracted more, with 40 female attendees compared to 20 men. Along with this, the figures for drama courses were half that of the previous ones. Sculpture was the only course where male participants exceed females, at 10 and 5, respectively. Painting was the most popular choice among men, with 25 attendees, representing the highest figure.
According to the pie chart, 42 % participants who were 50 and over had the largest share, while people aged under 20 were less interested in these types of evening courses. The 20-29-year-olds, whose figure was almost twice as high as theirs, accounted for 11%. While 30-39 aged participants represented 16%, 40-49 aged were roughly one quarter.
