The bar chart illustrates the percentage of Australian males and females across various age groups in 2010. Overall, the female group had a higher percentage of daily exercisers in many age brackets except 15 to 24, where males group had more participants than females.
Looking at the details, the males had around 52.8 percent in the aged group 15 to 24, which was higher population of participants because females only recorded around 47.7 percent. However, this trend had reversed in the group of 45 to 54 year olds, where female cohort participants had increased by 6 percent of daily exercisers, which was recorded as the highest percentage at 53.7 across the other age groups. Meanwhile, the male fitness lovers had experienced a decrease in the participants around 9 percent, which was substantially lower then females cohort.
In contrast, the 60 and over year old had least interest in fitness, where in both genders had lower participant of daily fitness. Males aged cohort had around 46.7 daily participants,and the female aged group had 47.7 percent of daily fitness participants.
