Moving to 2005, Italy saw a dramatic drop to 13% in the rate of government spending on roads and transport. Similarly, there was a significant decrease to 16% in Portugal.
Moving to the next country, The UK was the lowest in the rate of national budget on transport facilities in four countries from 1990 to 2005, followed by the USA. In 1995, The government in the UK used over 5% of the money for the transport system, twofold that of the percentage of money spent in 2000. In the USA, around 17% of the national budget was spent on traffic facilities in 1990, 1995, 2000, and 2005.
