The proportion of Portugal’s budget spent on roads and transport examined first started at 27% in 1990, after which it saw a decrease in 2005, at 20%. On the contrary, the figure for USA saw a rise, started at 12%, and despite a slight decrease by 2% in 1995, it ended ending the period with a final growth to 15%.
