The bar graph illustrates the percentage of internet usage by households and categorizes them into four groups based on income: lowest, second, third, highest, over a 10-year period from 2010 to 2020.
In general, it is clearly evident that internet usage by households increased over the years, as the percentage of each group in 2020 is higher than in 2010. The percentage of the highest group in both years slightly declined by the end of the period.
Initially, in 2010, internet access by the lowest group was just below 40%, which saw a dramatic increase in the third group, reaching just below 80%, before slightly decreasing to around 75% in the highest group.
On the other hand, in 2020, the lowest group had about 45% of consumers who could access the internet, which leapt to around 85% in the third group and reached a peak for any group, before slightly shrinking to around 75% of households in the highest group.
