Most notably, the chart is lead by the 26-35 age group, while the oldest age group recorded by far the lowest figures in both years.
The 26-35,36-45, and 46-55 age cohorts exhibited relatively higher figures than remaining age groups. Representing the highest figure of 38% in 2007, people aged between 26 and 35 rose noticeably by 5 percentage points, reaching 43% in 2009. A similar pattern was observed in the percentage of people aged between 36 and 45. They, starting at 30% in 2007, saw an increase of 4 percentage points, taking them to the distant second position, at 34%. The 46-55 age category saw a 5-percentage-point rise, climbing from 23% in 2007 to 28% in 2009.
With regards to the remaining categories, they accounted for a smaller share. The 15-25 age cohort stood at 20% in 2007, and this was followed by a marginal rise to 22% in 2009. The 56-65 age bracket also registered a growth of 5 percentage points, jumping from 15% in 2007 to 20% in 2009. There was a rise of 2 percentage points in the percentage of people aged over 65, from 10% in 2007 to 12% in 2009.
Another point worth noting is that the average percentage of people shopping online also saw an upward trend, from 24% in 2007 to 29% in 2009.
