Overall, the proportion of people in all age group followed an upward trajectory, albeit at varying rates. The 26-35 age range recorded a pronounced dominance, surpassing other age groups, whereas despite an increase, the oldest age category remained at the lowest figure throughout the period.
Focusing first on the highest figures, there was a slight rise from 38% in 2007 to 43% in 2009 in the group of people aged 26-35, followed closely by those aged between 36 and 45, whose figure started at 30% and rose to 34% in 2009. The percentage of people in the 46-55 age set experienced growth from 23% in 2007 to 28% in 2009.
Regarding the remaining age categories, the proportion of people in the youngest age group stood at 20% in 2007, before rising to 22% in 2009. In 2007, 15% of people aged 56-65 shopped online compared to 10% of the oldest people, figures that then grew to 20% and 12% in 2009, respectively. Meanwhile, the overall average percentage of online shoppers rose by 5%, reaching 29% in the final year.
