Overall, although women still dominant in 2008, the gap between three categories had narrowed significantly at the end of the period.
At the beginning, women had the largest share throughout the period, rising from slightly above one-fifth in 2001 to just above thirty percentage in 2005. After peaking at well over one-third the following year, the figure had fallen back by 2008.
Percentage of men who ate five portion of fruit and vegetable each day grew steadily from 16% in 2001 to 26% in 2006, before declined by around 2% over last two years.
Figure for children had experienced similar trend over the period, increasing from 11% to 22% before peaking at nearly one-fourth in 2007. Only last year same figure saw minor decline.
