The data show the proportions of five layers of fruits and vegetables that men, women, and children consume each day in the UK between 2001 and 2008.
Overall, women have dominated in consumption, always being more than 20%. Children are the least consumers throughout these years, from 2001 to 2008. Furthermore, there is a gradual increase in consumption from 2004 to 2007.
About three years from the beginning of 2001, the graph has been stable for men and children, with consumption at 10% and 15%, respectively. In women, the percentage rose from the beginning, with a minimum of 20% and reaching over 25% between 2001 and 2003.
On the other hand, the amount of consumption increased dramatically from 2004. The percentage increased for women, from being below 30% in 2006 to above 30% in 2007, then it started reducing gradually until 2008. The consumption rate of men and children was highest in 2007, above 25%, then it decreased a bit in 2008.
