Band 5+: The bar chart below shows the percentage of students who passed their high school competency exams, by subject and gender, during the period 2010-2011. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar graph illustrates the information about the percentage of genders in particular education center who got better grades such as A or B+ in various subjects.

Form an overall perspective, it can be seen that girls score more than boys in almost all the subjects except one.

Looking in detail, in Mathematics and Foreign languages, almost half percent of both students achieved excellent marks whereas major difference was shown in chemistry in which girls were 15% more with 30.2% as compared to boys with 14%. Analyzing the geography subject, there were two girls and three boys out of ten who got highet grades as well as it was the only field in which boys were able to score more than girls.

Moreover, the majority proportion of girls got good score in a computer science while more than 50% boys didn’t received A or B+ in it. In a physics and history, almost same number of students passed with good score as in physics, 36% girls and 34% boys as well as 25% girls and 22% boys in history performed better.
