The bar chart shows how the proportion of men, women and children who followed a particuilar diet changed from 2002 to 2010.
Overall, the percentages of people who followed the diet increased in all categories throughout the years, with 2006 having the largest proportions for all caregories. It is also clear that the proportion of children was consistently lower than that of adults over the whole period.
Adults, especially women, exhibited significantly higher figures, with 25% of women following the diet, the highest propotion for 2002, and men slightly lower at 22%. The figures showed similar changes in number in 2006, with the former recording 32%, while the latter rose by more than 5%. Although there was a slight decrease in the figures for both genders in 2010, they recorded the largest consumtption rates, with women 27% and men 24%.
Childen, on the other hand, had noticeably smaller proportions. While the proportion of children who consumed the recommended amount of fruit and vegetables was just 11% at the beginning of the period, it rose to 16% four years later. Year 2010, however, bucked the trend, showing a meager 2% decrease in the proportion of children.
