The bar graph gives the comparison of every day usage of social media by young adults, between 18 and 25, in 5 different countries.
Overall, all of the countries showed an upward trend in using social media applications, eventually staying at the same place. Japan showed the highest percetage difference during the decade of young individuals spending time in social media.
In both 2010 and 2020, the top three contries were Turkey, USA and UK. Turkey had the greatest percentage of socail media usege at the firth period, which was about 75%, and slightly increased by 15% in 2020, although remianed number one. USA was second one in both years, with around 60% in 2010 and 80% in 2020. The portion of young citizens using social media in UK as well rose gradually by aroung 15% from 2010.
Meanwhile, Italy and Japan had fewer percetange of daily use of social media. Social media usege amoung young people in Italy grown from roughly 60% to 75%, from 2010 to 2020 resepctively. Even though, Japan had the smallest number of young individuals scrolling social media, with approximately 40% in 2010, it went up for about 20%, wich is the biggest result among all countries.
