Overall, it is noticeable that the shares of three mentioned companies followed increasing trends. In addition, the figure for men participating IBM saw the most significant change among three campanies.
Regarding the figure for participation in IBM, the share witnessed a dramatic increasing pattern. In 1980 and 1985, nearly 0% of men in this firm participating senior development, which was the smallest share in these years. However, this figure rocketed dramatically over time. It surged from just over 10% in 1995 to roughly 30% in 2000, which was the largets percentage in that year. This share continued rising and eventually reached a peak of around 60% in the final year of the period.
In terms of the remaining companies, the shares of Microsoft and Apple followed different upward trends. The proportion of men attending senior development in Microsoft rose steadilyfrom roughly 7% in 1980 to approximately 15% in 2000 before surging considerably to 45% in 2010. Meanwhile, in the first 10 years, Apple registered the largest proportion of men participating in senior development among three companies, at around 12%. This figure then increased to roughly 20% before declining slightly to roughly 18% in the next five years. Although there was a light recovery to 25% in 2010, this figure was surpassed by two counterparts and became the smallest share in that year.
