The bar graph illustrates the proportions of people in two different age groups who used the Internet across six nations. Overall, those between 25 and 34 years old used the Internet more than those from 55 to 64, except for people in the USA. Moreover, China had the lowest percentages in both age groups.
Regarding the 25 to 34 age group, South Korean had the highest percentage of Internet users at around 98%, followed by Russia with 6% lower. The same proportions at 88% were witnessed in both Germany and the USA, which were over eight times higher than the figure in China (20%). Accounting for around half of South Korea, Brazil rank five among the six countries with 32% higher than China, which had the lowest percentage.
As for those between 55 and 64 years old, while the USA only ranked second in the younger age group, it had the highest proportion in this age group at 91%. Germany and Russia followed the USA’s figure with 83% and 70%, respectively. Similarly with users from 25 to 34 years old, Brazil and China had the two lowest percentages at 25% and 10%. The proportions of China users in this age group was half of that for users aged 25 to 34.
