The bar chat gives comparison of world’s oil production in OPEC and non-OPEC countries between 1980 and 2020.
It is noticeable that in 1980 and 2000, non-OPEC countries had by far highest increase in worldwide oil production compared to OPEC Middle East countries. In contrast, at the end of the period OPEC Middle East countries witnessed a dramatic increase, surpassing non-OPEC and other OPEC countries.
From 1980 to 2000, non-OPEC countries rose by approximateley 10 million barrels per day compared with OPEC Middle east production only with around 2 million barrels in world oil production and there was no figure for other OPEC countries. Next 10 years period, the OPEC Middle East and other OPEC nations both reported a considerable growth by 5 million barrels, by contrast, non-OPEC nations drop to 6 million of barrels.
At the end of period, between 2010 and 2020 OPEC Middle East states jumped to almost 15 million barrels of oil production per day, whereas non-OPEC and other OPEC states went down significantly, roughly same 2 million barels oils were produced.
