The bar chart shows what type of vehicles are preferred by young people in four countries (the UK, the USA, France, and Italy) in 2010, giving information percentages. The people were given three options to show their preferences: car, motorbike, and bike. Overall, the preferences were not similar in the countries. Cars, for instance, were the most popular in the UK, the USA and Italy. Young people in France preferred using bicycles. In the US and Italy, on the other hand, they were the most ignored type of vehicles.
First of all, cars for the most preferred one according to young people in Italy, the UK and US, accounting for about 75 and 60 percent respectively.
Secondly, motorcycle was chosen by 30 percent of the people in the US. In the other countries, it accounted for approximately 10 percent on motorcycles, varying with subtle differences in percentage in each.
Bicycles for the most common vehicle in France, for their young generation, making up around 45 percent. In the UK, bicycles were considered the seconds popular vehicle after cars. In the US, in contrast, they were selected by only 10% of participants, meaning it was most uncommon means of transport there.
