The bar diagram presents the comparison of sources of calorie intake among the British men by their respective age groups.
Overall, We observe a high consumption of dairy product as a calorie source in the early stages of life of the British men which then progressively shifts towards meat at mid life and settles at pulses for senior citizens.
Dairy produce as a calorie source declines from around 40% in men aged 0-24 to around 25% in people aged 25-49 and then plummets to less than 20% in men aged over 50. Vegetables also see a similar trend across the age group explicitely, 20% in men aged 0-24 which gradually falls to around 15% in men aged 25-49 and lastly, 10% in men aged over 50.
As the age of the British male population progresses, meat becomes the primary source of calorie for millennials aged 25-49 taking up 50% of the whole diet and pulses remain the largest source of calorie nearing almost 65% of the total among men aged over 50 which surprisingly, takes the least cut from the calorie plan among men aged 25-49.
