In general, it can be seen that households in the UK spent the most on clothing regardless of the season. In addition, the total amount of transactions in all products decreased from Spring to Autumn, after which this figure increases between Autumn and Winter.
From Spring to Autumn, clothing and household items followed similar patterns as 100,000 and 80,000 pounds were spent respectively in spring. Figures for these products saw gradual decline, decreasing from 100,000 to 70,000 for clothing and from 80,000 to 60,000 for household items. Between Autumn and Winter clothing experienced a dramatic increase, climbing from 70,000 to 110,000. Conversely household items dropped slightly from 60,000 to 50,000.
Garden, Electrical Equipment and Children’s toy followed fluctuating pattern in the period from Spring to Autumn. The figure for these products was recorded at 40,000, 70,000 and 30,000, respectively in Spring. During this period the figure for these products first experienced moderate drop and afterward they rose gradually. Between Autumn and Winter, electrical equipment and children’s toy soared significantly from 60,000 to 80,000 for electrical equipment and from 40,000 to 60,000 for children’s toy, however, Garden plummeted from 40,000 to 20,000.
