Overall, while China shows the highest statistics in both years in the past, the opposite is true for Japan. Additionally, India becomes country which has the highest proprtion of world population by 2050.
Focusing on details, China stood out in the group with its huge numbers. The figure for China was 23% in 1950, however it underwent a downward trend and lost its 3%. China’s projections show that its negative trend will keep its trajectery, ultimately becoming 15% by 2050. In stark contrast, Japan is the smallest figure in the graph. While Japan’s trend is quite similar to China, its numbers are smaller. The figure for Japan started in 4%, continued with 3%, and its projections are 1%.Moreover, while India shows similar numbers to China, the opposite is true for its trend. The figure for India started 15% and showed an upward trend, ultimately it became 17%. In the future India will keep its trajectory and hits the 19% mark by 2050. In contrast, USA has quite different trend compared to other countries. While it started with 7% and showed a downward trend, its projections are similar with the statistics in 2002.
