The bar chart illustrates data about total expenditure on clothing spent by boys,girls,men and women in the US among the period of 3 decades, commencing from 1985 .Overall,the amount of money spent by boys,girls,men, and women increased albeit at varying rates.It is also clear that,Men especially women showed much higher spending rates throughout the period.
The annual expenditure were recorded by men and women showed much higher figures.In 1985,men allocated around $300 ,followed by women at roughly $480 .Both figures experienced a rise to approximately $430 and 500$ respectively by 1995.In final year,the proportion of money spent by men feel minimally to $400,as the figure for women’s clothes increased dramatically to $650 with making it the highest expenditure among other figures.
In contrast,boys and girls had relatively smaller numbers.Starting at just under $150 in 1985,the figure for boys’ clothes remained stable in two consecutive years.The amount of money on the other hand, which was spent for girls’ clothes rose up to $180 from $150 between 1985 and 2005.
