The highest amount of British giving money to charity in 1990 was nearly 43% and the age group was 36-50 whereas in 2010, the highest amount of people were in the 51-65 age group and the percentage was almost 40%. The lowest age group contributing money in charity for both years were 18-25. In 1990 and 2010, there percentages were above 15 and close to 7.5, respectively.
Similar patterns were seen among the trend of 51-65 and 65+ age group. In 1990, the percentages for 51-65 and 65+ group were nearly 35 and close to 32.5 respectively whereas in 2010, it was about 40 and 35 respectively. 26-35 group saw about 32% in 1990 and close to 23% in 2010.The age group saw a significant increase for the shift in age group from 18-50 whereas after that it saw a decline. On the other hand, 18-65 age group saw a climb in percentage from about 7 to close to 40. Then it saw a decline for greater than 65 aged group to nearly 35%.
