Overall, it is noticeable that a higher percentage of British people gave money to charity in 1990 than in 2010. In contrast, at the range of age between 51-65 and over during 2010 score a higher percentage compared to 1990.
To start off, the highest donation at 42% occured in 1990 among those aged 36 to 50. While this figure is the highest in the chart, by 2010 the percentage went down from 42% to 35%. The similar difference also appears in individuals age between 26 to 35 years old. With just over 30% by the year of 1990 before slightly dropped to 24% in 2010.
However, during the period of 1990, the percentage of British individuals aged between 51 to 65 fell gradually from 42% to 35%. Additionally, the figure for the over 65 years old was lower than 35%, albeit only slightly, at 32%. While the donation between the ages of 50 and 65 declined, by 2010 the percentage rose among 51-60 age group from 35% to approximately 40% which was the highest percentage for 2010.
