Overall, internet usage increased over the period, with younger age groups showing higher usage than older people

The 18-24 age group had the highest internet usage, while the 65+ age group han the lowest usage. Users aged 25-44 showed a moderate increase, and the 45-64 group also increased stedily but remained lower than the younger age groups.

Between 2010 and 2015, the total number of internet users rose by 15 million from 20 million to 35 million. Between 2015 and 2020, it increased futher by 20 million reaching 55 million. The 18-24 group grew consistnetly, whereas the 65+ group showed only a slight increase over the period.

In summary, younger people were the main users of internet, and overall usage rose significantly in Canada from 2010 to 2020.
