In terms of food, the percentage of household food spending in Brazil stood at 40%, making it the largest figure overall. Japan and France followed in second and third place, at 35% and 30%. As for transportation, France allocated one-quarter of household expenditure, while the remaining categories were less than 21%.
Regarding leisure activities, the UK represented the highest proportion of household expenditure, at 30%. In Japan, those who spent on entertainment were at 25%, whereas in Brazil and Japan each recorded 20%. As for education, the UK, France and Brazil represented a similar percentage, which stood at 25%, respectively. However, in Japan, the share was just around 20%, making it the smallest figure shown in this field.
