This bar chart shows a comparison in the percentage of care time that parents take for their children in the evening in four tasks ( dressing, homework, playing games and preparing for bed) in 2022.
Overall, it can be clearly seen as a result of comparison that mothers spent the highest on dressing, while fathers spent the lowest on all tasks .
Looking in more detail, mothers prefer to dress for their children more than fathers. For instance, mothers spent over 70% and fathers about only 1% which was the least. Another point is that on preparing for bed mothers spend less than fathers. For example, the percentage of mothers were above 20% and approximately 5% for fathers. A final point to be mentioned is that both parents spent more time preparing for bed at exactly 70%, whereas they spent less time on homework at just under 40% per cent.
One notable point is that fathers had an equal percentage of playing games and preparing for bed which was around 3%.
