The bar chart gives information about the percentage of people of different ages who attended three different music events in Australia in 2006. Overall, the figure for popular events was the highest among the three different age groups. It’s worth mentioning that fewer people from the last two cohorts attended music events.
In the youngest age group, popular music events events by far the most preferable with 38% of 15- to 24-year-olds attending it. It was dominant in both ages of 25 to 34(27%) and 35 to 44(33%). In the last two categories, it was in second(13%) and third(5%) place.
In contrast, opera was the second most popular event between the ages of 15 and 44. It accounts for 13% of younger baskets and 14% of 25 to 34 years olds. The one-fifth of middle age cohort participated in opera events. The figure for the older age basket was the same as the people aged 45-54, at 15%.
Classical events were the least popular among all age categories. It hovers around 10% among all ages. Among the older age group, it was the second-most attended events
