The bar chart illustartes how the percantage of drug sales changed in four regions, including Asisa, Europea and Africa, North and South America, between 2002 and 2006. Overall, Europea and Africa were the dominant salers of drugs throughout the period despite having a downward trend. In general, none of the given regions, except Asia, experienced dramatical changes in the proportion of drug sales. Asian compaines, however, showed a significant increase, while North and South America’s drug incomes remianed unchanged.
In 2002, Europea and Africa sold 44% of drugs, after which it increased gradually, reaching a peak at 48% in 2004. From that point, companies’ income through drugs decreased gradually, ending the period at 40% in 2006.
North American companies sold 33% of drugs in 2002, followed by a steady drop, they accounted for 21% drug sales in 2005. This figure remained consistent until the end of the period. Similarly, South America stayed unchanged at 11% during the whole period, although hitting a low of 6% in 2006.
Asia is the only region which experienced an upward trend. Its drug sales stood at 12% in 2002, after which it started increasing to double its percentage at 24% in 2005. By 2006, drug sales had rosen to a high of 28%.
