The bar chart compares four distinctive urban areas, namely Toronto, Madrid, Kuala Lumpur, and Amman, in terms of techniques for handling waste. Data are presented in proportions.
From an overall perspective, it is apparent that cities used incineration at significant percentages, while composting received the smallest share. Of particular note is landfill, which stands as a top waste management strategy.
When it comes to strategies for dealing with waste used at staggering proportions, the landfill usage was highest in Toronto at above 70%, followed closely by Amman below 50%. The utilization of this way of getting rid of waste was about 29% in Madrid, in comparison with Kuala Lumpur’s approximately 15%. Moreover, the use of incineration in Kuala Lumpur was whopping at around 55%, compared to 40% of Madrid. The employment of waste disposal methods was slight in Toronto at 10%, slightly lower than the percentage of Amman at roughly 38%.
As far as waste management practices received negligible share, the application of recycling was the same in Kuala Lumpur and Madrid at an estimated 23%, followed by Amman and Toronto at 10% and 8%, respectively. Finally, the usage of composting was marginal in Madrid and Kuala Lumpur at a respective 8% and 6%. The use of this method in Toronto was low at about 7%, in comparison with Amman’sroughly 4%.
