Overall, it is clear that the percentage of manufacturing production in Asia fluctuated over the period, while Europe increased initially and then declined.However, the rest of the world showed an overall increase.
In 1840, Asia had the highest proportion of manufacturing production at 50%, in 1880 Asia percenatge had declined to 30%.Moreover, the percenatge of manufacturing production in Asia was 20% in 1920 and gradually increased to approximately 45% in 2000.In contrast, Europe started from 40% in 1840 and increased to 50% in 1920.Furthermore, Europe percenatge dramatically decreased to around 38% in 1960 and then to approximately 28% in 2000.
The percantage for the rest of the world started at only 10% in 1840 and gradually this figure increased over the period.Moreover, the rest of the world increased to around 25% in 1880 and reached at about 32% in 2000.
