Overall, it can be seen that composting is the least used method in all four cities, while landfill and incineration are the most common methods.
In both Toronto and Amman, landfill is the most prevalent method, accounting for 74% and 48% respectively. Incineration is the next most popular method, with Toronto using it for approximately 10% of its waste disposal, while in Amman, it is almost 40%. Recycling and composting have similar percentages in both cities, each under 10%, except for recycling in Toronto, which is slightly higher at 11%.
In Madrid, landfill accounts for around 28% of waste disposal, whereas in Kuala Lumpur, it is half of that, at 15%. Incineration is the most commonly used method in both Madrid and Kuala Lumpur, with about 40% and 55% respectively. Recycling is equally prevalent in both cities, at around 21%, and composting is also under 10% in both cities, similar to the other two cities.
