A glance at the bar chart provided depicts various ways of waste utilization such as landfill, incineration, recycling and compositing in four cities, namely Toronto, Madrid, Kuala Lumpur and Amman.
From an overall perspective, it is prominent that Toronto and Amman dominated over two other cities, illustrating the highest percentage of waste used for landfill, whereas Madrid and Kuala Lumpur preffered to incinerate the wastes. Moreover, all four cities were less involved in recycling, and compositing’s figure was the lowest .
Turning to the details, Toronto stood up at roughly 75% when displaying wastes that went to landfill, and its figure was the highest, and Amman was at nearly 50%. Meanwhile, Madrid and Kuala Lumpur were not as active in ladnfill disposal as the Toronto was, just under 30% and approximately 15% respectively. What’s about the incineration, Kuala Lumpur accounted for 55%, dominating significantly over others, with 40% of Madrid’s disposal and roughly 38% of Amman’s incineration rate and Toronto made up barely 10%.
As regards recycling percentages, Madrid and Kuala Lumpur had the same rate of 22%. Figures in Amman and Toronto lagged behind, 10% as opposed to 8%. In terms of compositing, the percentages was all lower than 10%, Madrid stood at 9%, while Toronto and Kuala Lumpur both comprised 7%, and Amman accounted for barely 2%.
