The bar chart illustrates the proportion of both genders: men and women who reported doing no exercise at all in 2005. Overall, the tendency to abstain physical activity rose steadily from both genders, particularly women in all age brackets.
In 18-24 age group, young people more likely to participate in playing sport with 18% of women and 13% of men, respectively. However, the proportion of women significantly increased, roughly 26%. Regarding the share of men, it also pursued the upward trend with 22% at 25-34 age bracket. This trend persisted in the middle age (35-44) at 28% of men and over 30% of women.
In 45-54 age group, 33% of men who did not enjoy in playing sport, it rised dramatically three times compared to 18-24- years- olds. Sedentary lifestyle seemed more likely with women at this category, reaching at 37% according the observation. Finally with 55 age bracket, 35% and 43% of both genders who avoided working out constantly.
