The chart depicts proportions of spending for five main categories in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Japan in the year 2009.
Overall, the most significant shares of housing belonged to United States, as opposed to the lowest was health care which was in United Kingdom.
Looking at the details of each country, Canada had the highest point in housing and transportation one-fifth each. Food was higher as three times as than health care 15% and 5%, respectively. The other area of this country is clothing which was roughly similar with United Kingdom (above 5%). Furthermore, United Kingdom had a more marked contribution in housing which can outstripped with (merely 2-3 percent) Canada and Japan. Food was less than twice that of housing, namely 13% and 25%, respectively.
Regarding health care and clothing, the minority proportion was in the former (United Kingdom). By contrast, United States had the most significant share in this item, which had the disparity between the highest contribution of clothing with 1-2%.
