The illustrated bar chart represents the spending trends on two types of electronic items in country X from 2011 to 2015.
According to the chart, both categories rose over a 4-year period of people’s expenditure, but it was clearly seen that while computer sales inclined progressively with each year, smartphone sales shot up speedily in the last couple of years with possible growth and overtaking the leadership in this category.
Overall, computer sales started this chosen period of time quite well at 30 million dollars in 2011 and went up gradually with 5 million dollars of income annually. It hit its peak at 50 million dollars in 2015. On the other hand, smartphone sales remained low at 10 million dollars for the first three years of sales, soared drastically and reached a high number at 45 million dollars in 2015.
Comparing these two categories of electronic devices, the chart showed different growth over the years. In 2011, computer sales started the chart with 30 million dollars income, when smartphone sales illustrated a poor level of the amount of money spent that year, but the picture changed significantly until the end of 2015. However, whereas the former claimed to reach 50 million dollars in 2015, the latter peaked at only 5 million dollars lower
