Overall, it is crucial that cooking remains the most common and most time-consuming activity. While the majority of women engage in cleaning, far fewer men do so, and their time consumption are much lower. In contrast, males are more involved in house repairs compared to other tasks, although females also contribute to these chores as well.
Regarding participation rates, around 85% of females cook as opposed to that of males. Similarly, the portion of women in cleaning is more higher than men by about 21%. Conversely, the propotion of men involv in pet care stand at 21%, only 1% higher than that of women. House repairs represent the overwhelming man-majority, with just under 20%, while the share of women accounted for only 9%.
In terms of the average time they spend on housework, women spend approximately 85 minutes in cooking, 25 minutes longer than that of men. In the same way, roughly 66 minutes that females take part in cleaning in comparison with 45 minutes that of males. Notably, pet care is the only tasks that attracts equal interest, at 20 minutes. Finally, the time segment of males engage in house repaired was double that of famales.
