The bar chart illustrates the global rate of illitracy,for previous year, according to the gender and six regions(Develop Countries,Latin American, East Asia,Sub-Saharan and South Asia).The numbers are in percentage.Overall, the propotion of lack of education amoung females was significantly higher than males,especially in South Asia which can be related to old traditions, that incourage women to stay at home.
Developed countries had the lowest rate of illiteracy(under 5 percentage) for both genders while Latin America had more uneducated people(men 10% and women approximetely 12%) but still better than East Asia that had overall higher rate with noticeable difference between men and women(8% and 20 % respectively).
Other regions ( Sub-Saharan and Arab States) had higher percentage than previously mentioned territories with female rates being twice more than male(approximately 50% and 30% respectively).The disaster in rates was in South Asia with proportion almost 35 percentage for men and 65 percentage for women.
