The bar chart illustrates the number of volunteers and paid workers in four different spheres in the area of sports in an Australian town in 2015.
Overall, while the figure for supporters was higher than the number of paid workers in almost every category, the referees’ number was the only exception. Notably, the largest difference between helpers and paid workers was observed in coaching.
With regard to the top two, the highest number of volunteers and paid workers were demonstrated in coaching and other sections. The number of employees in coaching was around 45 in 2015. However, in the same sphere, the figure for volunteers was roughly 75, which was considerably higher than the number of paid workers. Although, in other sections, a figure of almost 50 employees was recorded, but the number of supporters in this field was nearly 60, which was the second-highest participation in the given graph.
Considering the areas with the least participation (referees and therapists), helpers and paid workers’ figures were less than 45. The difference between volunteers and employees who worked as therapists was slight, amounting to about 45 and around 40, respectively. However, in referees, the number of paid workers was almost 40, which was higher than the number of volunteers by five members.
