The bar chart compares the percentage of literacy who can read and write by region and gender 2011. Overall, the chart includes information about seven different parts of the world. However, there was a significant difference in literacy rates between males and females in the other areas.
Central Asia and Eastern Europe recorded the literacy males and females equal, nearly 100%. In addition, the percentage of literacy between males and females in East Asia and Latin America, there was a slight difference. In contrast, regions like Arab States, South and West Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, there was a noticeable gap between percentage literacy between male and female, mainly rate of female was lower than male. In South and West Asia and Sub- Saharan Africa roughly 70% for female.
In conclusion, literacy rate of every region, percentages of males are higher than females.
