To commence, travelling increased steadily throughout the decade for all the means of travel. The bus and rail accounted for the longest journey with approximately 45 billion kilometres and 49 billion kilometres consecutively in 2000. Additionally, residents journeyed for longer distance in 2000 with a sum of 125 billion kilometres as compared to 100 billion kiometres in 1990.
On the other hand, bicycle, bike and ari travel remained low for both years, ari accounted for almost 5 billion kilometres which was the lowest interval recorded in 1990, while bus transportation was close to 2 billion kilometres which was the shortest length in 2000.
